accomplices made as much as $3 million per month

Former Atlanta Falcons teammates Julio Jones and Roddy White are the target of a lawsuit that alleges fraud and money laundering involving the sale of marijuana on the black market, Sports Illustrated reports. California-based Genetixs LLC, a bona fide cannabis supplier, claims the pair and their accomplices made as much as $3 million per month from a scheme that defrauded investors and “looted, removed and misappropriated” weed grown by Genetixs.

The civil complaint contends Jones and White, via their company SLW Holdings, diverted “cannabis products from an otherwise legal cultivation and distribution operation” to black-market sales. “The vague allegations against SLW Holdings LLC and its members Roddy White and Julio Jones are meritless,” attorney Rafe Emanuel said in response to the suit.
