Cee-Lo pays tribute to 'Georgia'

When we last heard from Cee-Lo Green (outside of Goodie Mob reunions and collaborations with Danger Mouse), it was 2004, and he was the Soul Machine. And it was the shit!

So it's good news for us all that Thomas DeCarlo Callaway has a brand new solo jam on the way. The Lady Killer doesn't have a release date just yet, but what it does have is a single called "Georgia." The song, available to stream at Nah Right, is an earnest tribute to Cee-Lo's home state, complete with lyrics like the following:

There's something about Atlanta/ That doesn't cease to amaze me/ Oh, after all/ It even raised the people that raised me.

And check out those drums, that guitar, those horns — it sounds suspiciously like Danger Mouse had something to do with this track. Can we expect production from Cee-Lo's erstwhile other half the whole album through? And if so, why don't they just call it a Gnarls Barkley album? So many questions.
