Murray Attaway, Peter Holsapple, And Don Dixon: Trio In The Attic W/ Special Guest Clay Harper

CRITIC’S PICK
Thurs. Nov. 12

Murray Attaway with Peter Holsapple and Don Dixon, Clay Harper, Eddie’s Attic — The one-time Guadalcanal Diary frontman turned solo artist Murray Attaway returns after a successful May date at this venue, also with Harper opening). This time he brings two legends — Peter Holsapple (The DB’s, Continental Drifters) and Don Dixon (R.E.M/Marti Jones producer, solo artist) — to help flesh out tunes from last year’s Tense Music Plays, his first release in 32 years. Since that mostly-acoustic eight-song LP was a solo project, the extra help sets the stage for Attaway to possibly reimagine some Guadalcanal tunes, classics that should have made more of an impact when they were first released in the mid to late ‘80s. Welcome back a criminally overlooked Georgia roots rock veteran. — Hal Horowitz
